    Tips and Suggestions

    Measuring more than 2000 g.

The launch scale included with our Weather Balloon Inflator kit will measure weight / lift up to 2000 g. This covers the majority of payloads launched by our customers. If your payload weighs over 2000 g or you need to measure more than 2000 g of lift we recommend purchasing a larger spring scale. Keep in mind that the larger the spring scale, the less precise your measurement. You also have the option of adding a separate weight to the inflation nozzle. The easiest way to do this is to fill a 2 liter soda bottle with water (2 liters of water weighs 2000 g) and suspend it from the inflator nozzle. This allows you to accurately measure your lift up to 4000 g using our 2000 g launch scale.
